The Jean Monnet Chair on European Union’s Education, Training, Research and Innovation Policies and the Laboratory of Education Policy, Research, Development and Interuniversity Cooperation of the Department of International and European Studies, University of Piraeus in cooperation with Laboratory of Eastern Mediterranean, Middle and Major East: Economy-Politics-Civilization, organize the International Conference "The European Higher Education Area and the European Research Area: The role of the Universities and Research Centers in smart specialization and growth", which will take place on April 18-19 2019 at the University of Piraeus.

Ο εοτρασμός θα πραγματοποιηθεί  την Παρασκευή 26.10.2018 και ωρα 12:00  στην αίθουσα συνεδρίων του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιώς.

We inform all the students of University of Piraeus that lectures will be held by the incoming Professors under the Erasmus+ program in the premises of the University of Piraeus. Some lectures also are offered by the Department of Financial Management and Banking.

The lectures will be in English and certification of attendance will be given to all the participants.

Transportation

There are plenty of transportation means in service such as buses, cable buses, suburban railway, tram, metro. There is going to be a new extended line of the metro, while it is also connected to the central railway network of the country.

You can use the Metro Line 1 (Green Line), which connects Piraeus to the city center of Athens and the northern suburbs.

There is direct connection from the Airport to Piraeus, using the Suburban Railway or the Bus X96.

There are plenty of buses connecting Piraeus to the rest of Attica.

Location of the University 

The University of Piraeus has various buildings throughout the Piraeus. Its central building is located at the Karaoli & Dimitriou str. 80 and it is easily accessible with buses or the train. From the train station Faliro (green line) buses like 040, A1, B1, 130, 217, 218 can easily transfer you to the University. Alternatively, the University is only 15 minutes on foot from the train station of the Piraeus.
