Ο Ανδρέας Ανδρικόπουλος είναι Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής του Τμήματος Ναυτιλιακών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιώς. Είναι κάτοχος πτυχίου και διδακτορικού διπλώματος του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών καθώς και Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος (MSc) του Πανεπιστημίου Warwick. Έχει διατελέσει Καθηγητής Χρηματοοικονομικής στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου, Διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της Εταιρείας Αξιοποίησης και Διαχείρισης Περιουσίας του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου και Διευθυντής του ΠΜΣ Executive MBA του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου. Έχει διδάξει χρηματοοικονομική στους φοιτητές και τις φοιτήτριες του Πανεπιστημίου Πειραιώς, του Πανεπιστημίου Αιγαίου, του Ελληνικού Ανοικτού Πανεπιστημίου, του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, του Διεθνούς Πανεπιστημίου της Ελλάδος και του κολλεγίου Deree. Το επιστημονικό του έργο στη ναυτιλιακή χρηματοοικονομική, τη χρηματοοικονομική διοίκηση, τη λογιστική, την εταιρική διακυβέρνηση, την επιστημολογία και την επιστημομετρία της χρηματοοικονομικής έχει δημοσιευθεί σε διεθνή επιστημονικά περιοδικά.
